Girls just wanna have fun~

Once again it was time for "Girls Weekend"...I look forward to it all year long. It doesn't seem like it comes around often enough for me. Each year we try to shake things up a bit and do something different.

This year instead of eating dinner out on Friday night, we all brought "pot luck" and ate to our hearts content (and then ate some more). Dayna was kind enough to let us have the entire party at her house again...and Jack "excused himself" for the night so that we girls could have our "alone" time....he is so thoughtful and sweet (I mean that sincerely, he really is!)!!!

I don't know why it is, but when we plan a dinner we always plan for 100 people it seems...but thats okay, we had lots of YUMMY food to eat and HAD we got stranded for a week, we wouldn't have gone hungry!

After eating and feeling EVER SO FULL we sat down and made jewelry. We made necklaces and earrings and rings. We used our "creative minds" and came up with some really cute stuff...some of which we wore the next day.

We had so much fun and wore ourselves completely out...it was a long, hot, fun, fabulous day...but we were exhausted so we hit the hay early (at least early for a "girls weekend").

The next day we were planning an EARLY morning of garage sales....so up and at it we were and got away at a pretty descent hour.

Dana wanted to get some baby stuff and some maternity clothes...WE HIT THE JACKPOT first thing. On one street there were 4 garage sales on the same block, right down from each other...she found a bag of maternity clothes and some fun baby stuff. We hit another one that had some awesome things as well. One of the bargains that we found was a WORKING miter saw for $5.00...which Dayna snatched up before anyone else could grab it and Kimber got a really cool table for her living room...needless to say we were PACKED into my car very snuggly with all of our treasures but we had smiles on our faces.
We also HAD to stop at the mall for a few things as well...just the necessities like "cute shoes"...you know, things like that~

We then went grabbed some lunch and went to the park for some girl talk and a picnic.

LAUGHING is one of those FUN things that make girls weekend a blast...and there wasn't a shortage of it as we chatted over our lunches and talked about "girl stuff"...GREAT TIME LADIES!

Our next stop was the dollar (movie) theater to watch a movie....then we went and unpacked the "goods" at Dayna's house so Dana and I could pack up all of our luggage and head for home. It was a really fun weekend and another great time with the girls. (all the silly faces, long belly laughs, secrets, just ALL of it!!!!)

Its fun to just hang out with the them, talk, laugh and enjoy each other. I couldn't ask for better daughters, they are the best. I love them all, including Halle, who will come and join our weekends when she gets a tad bit older.

Can't wait for next year ladies...only 11 more months~

What a fun girls day! I love a good garage sale find--just got some bar stools last week. I also got a changing table just before W. was born. So worth it!
