Food + Little Boys= Cute Messes

These adorable little monkeys came over for dinner the other night, Kayson was all cleaned up before I could get a picture of his sweet little, slightly messy face (he really hasn't figured out the "messy" part of eating yet)...but his smile is soooooooooo adorable, and I'm glad I captured it! Kenron on the other hand got to eat his cake all by himself....he enjoyed the mess more than that actual cake I think............

ohhhhhhhhhhhh to be 3 again and enjoy the feeling of food on my hands....
thats the life!!
I'm so glad I get to be grandma to these 2 sweet little munchkins....can't wait to have more of them!

Birthday Boy....

THIS handsome cuss had a birthday last month! He is officially out of his TEEN'S and
has ventured on into his 20's, making him "all grown up" (so he says).
We had a birthday party for him...served all his favorites and gave him his gifts!

(and a few days later...after this picture...he got his hair cut!! woo hoo!!!!)

He is such a sweet boy (he'll always be my little boy no matter how old he is!!) and so much fun to have around! Cameron has always been a thoughtful, helpful person. He will do anything for just about anybody. He loves people and he loves to stay busy. He is a great mechanic, handyman, and listener. He's a hard worker, loyal and fun loving! He's responsible and genuinely cares for others. He has a heart as big as Texas and as sold as gold...he's a keeper and I'm so glad he's my son!!  Happy Birthday Cameron! We love you bunches!!

STILL painting.........

A few other things I've been re-doing over the past few months...its so fun for me to see the transformation that can come to something beat up, worn out and ugly.....turning it into something gorgeous, bright and pleasing to the eye.....gotta love a good old can of paint!!

Paid a few bucks for this adorable clock at a second hand store and in return I get a gorgeous vintage looking clock...can't beat that! I can't wait to make another trip to the city and scrounge around to see what else I can find to re-do....YES, I think I'm ADDICTED to RE-DO's!!

Project Therapy~

I love to "make over" furniture....its like therapy for me. I seldom buy something old and keep it in its original state, but sometimes its only a good coat of "Old English" furniture polish to clean it up a bit. Recently I bought this end table at an antique shop. It was pretty scuffed up and needed a little TLC. As much as I wanted to keep it looking as original as possible, the top had a lot of water damage and so I decided it would be best to just give it a good sanding and a nice coat of paint....and WALAA, it turned out perfectly (at least in my opinion it did)~

Now it adorns my living room and I LOVE IT!! It makes me a happy, crafty lady when
I get to keep one of my pieces and brag a little about it!
