Day 5...flying above the world

The next day we prepared for the TIME OF OUR LIFE!...Breakfast at a fantastic little resturarant (which for the life of me I can't remember the name...this is why you shouldn't wait 2 months to write about fun adventures!) that was in a "flour mill". We had the best breakfast...fruit waffles, pancakes, thick bacon.....mmmmm are you hungry yet?!.....all to prepare us for what was to come next...............

THE ZIPLINE!!!
I have always wanted to zip line, even though heights scare me to death....it was a challenge I was going to have to get my nerves up to do. The kids were THRILLED...I was pretty excited until I saw what I was going to have to climb to get to go on the thrilling ride!...UHG!
Halle flew through the sky like a bird...no fear!

Me on the other hand....I was petrified by the time I got to where we actually got to "take off"...but the ride itself was breath taking! I would do it again for sure!!!

breathe...breathe...remember to breathe!!!

Cameron was as calm as ever...maybe because he was a boy, maybe because he didn't have so far
to fall (because he is 6'8")...regardless, he loved it!

We also went down in the cave...what a sight!! My pictures don't do it justice for sure...but they give you a little taste of the spectacular sights that were down under the mountain!

listening to final instructions before entering the cave......

....then down, down, down, we go...deep into the mountain!

Cameron standing next to one of the "cool" "things" in the cave~

spectacular creations were EVERYWHERE!

...the crew listening to the explanation of "what was what"...while I on the other hand,
wasn't being a very good listener (I was taking pictures)

and YES...Cam was pretty tall for some parts of this cave...
Caves amaze me....the things that grow in the mountain, this particular cave had rooms that were "Majestic" in both size as well as wonders...a sight that can only be experienced in real life to get the full thrill of it! IT WAS AMAZING TO SAY THE LEAST.....

Now onto the rest of our day..................(to be continued)

Day 4...winding down

After a long day of walking...and walking...and looking...and walking, we found an excellent little restaurant down on the Riverwalk, called the Salt Grass. It came highly recommended and the FOOD WAS AMAZING!!
Halle...enjoyed playing with her gum while we waited for lunch~
Cam....watched the birds while we waited for lunch~
Deron...stared off into space while we waited for lunch~
AND ME....well I just kept taking pictures while we waited for lunch!

Halle's birthday was going to be in a few days so the waiter brought her a "piece of cake"....which in all
reality WAS THE SIZE of and entire CAKE! BUT ohhhhhhhhh it was GOOD!!

After lunch we went for a ride on the "river boat" down on the Riverwalk...a calm little ride on a crowded little boat....but oh so fun!

we saw gargoyles.....
...aztec statues (really, I have no idea what kind of statue that was...but it was cool)

....we saw gorgeous scenery~
and lots of the shops we had seen while walking on foot~

all in all it was a gorgeous day and we loved the lay back, casual day of
walking, boating and eating!

NOW...back to the hot tub to soak our tired bones!
To BE CONTINUED.....

Day 4...Ripley's Believe it or not

If you have never been to a "Ripley's Believe it or Not" museum, you should...they are interesting, weird and
sometimes "ALOT UNBELIEVABLE" ...It was great fun!
There were alot of wax figures just standing here and there around the museum....as I stood here taking pictures with one of them, this lady walked by and thought I was a wax figure, that was UNTIL I moved, pretty much scared her right to death....I LAUGHED about it ALL DAY LONG...SO SO FUNNY!!!!

Everything is bigger in Texas...yep, even the tires!

Me...posing as a robot, with a robot!

Big tire....Halle AND BIG MAN!

Halle...posing with "the man that can pull his bottom lip over his nose"....

Rhinoceros made from Toys?!...pretty crazy!!

OH the things you see at Ripley's Believe It or Not...if I hadn't seen some of them with my own eye's I would say..."I don't believe it"....and then there's some of it, I still don't believe~
Interesting and bizarre all wrapped up in one museum...
pretty cool!

our journey continues......

Day 4...Heros and Horrors

One of our first stops today was the "WAX MUSEUM". We have been to a wax museum before, in San Francisco, it was bigger and better...but this one was still alot of fun. Wax figures sort of creep me out...for one, if you have ever seen the old Vincent Price movie called "The Wax House" you'll know why they give me the willy's...needless to say, its a great place to scare yourself. We had a great time posing with some of the "best"!

Deron and "Johnny Cash"

Halle in the middle of her "Twilight" stars~

Speaking of "stars"....Oprah is one of my fav's!

Cameron appeared on the David Letterman show....

Halle found Superman...really, what kind of man wears an outfit like that?!

AND THEN THERE WAS THE HOUSE of WAX "HORROR" floor...HALLE's VERY least
favorite...we had to FORCE her to come with us~

She REALLY was terrified...taking these pictures in the DARK, I had no idea what I was
getting until I loaded them on the computer...HILARIOUS!!

From one werewolf to another....

"Mom, Can we just leave now?!"

It was so much fun...a little weird, a little creepy, a little crazy...but fun all the way around!
ON TO our next adventure~
to be continued......
