Mountain Music with the FAMILY~

Reunion Time....
Summer wouldn't be the same without a few days with my GREAT BIG FUN FAMILY!

These 2 little angels are some of my favorite people. I love that they still
think I'm "cool" and "fun" and want me to do things with them.
I hadn't been in the campground 5 minutes, when they came running up and
asked if I would go for a walk with them....OF COURSE, I said...who wouldn't
want to spend time with these adorable little rays of sunshine!?

Our reunion was at Paradise Park Campground, which was absolutely gorgeous.
The reservoir there was....well...lets just say it looked more like a glorified pond, but it was
full of fish (which you could see but few were caught)...and full of places to wade and get your feet wet.

Kayson got meet Aunt Saundra for the first time and he fell right in love...she's easy to love !

Everyone got "re-acquainted" with each other over food and laughter, fires and smoke
and longs talks after dark!

Riley was out to catch some "BIG fish"...he tried and tried and tried, but they just wouldn't bite!

These two crazy, fun girlies kept the camp alive...always laughing, giggling and just
being their fun selfs!
Kenron had a great time being outside...he loved the entire thing

The scenery was to die for...gorgeous both day and night. Everything was
still green and lush, blooming flowers, flowing water in the creek and squirrels
scurrying up the trees...it was awesome!

A few of us ventured out and walked down the long dusty road for a little "exercise"...

Yep...it was a fun, happy, good walk!

I love days like this...all wrapped up with family close by and nature at my feet!

Growing up and getting big!

Grandbabies bring a joy that no one can explain...they are so much fun!
This little man is now crawling...ALL OVER and
thinking he can stand next to everything. He's got a mouth full of teeth and
it won't be long and he will think he can eat steak.
He has a smile that would melt even the coldest heart...and he smiles
most all the time!

This little guy is going to be 3 in just a few days...he loves to play the IPAD and
he knows all of his colors...and not just the "8" that come in the crayon box either.
I had a "bluish" shirt on the other day and he informed me that it was "AQUA"...and
YES, it really was!

He can count to 30 and knows all of his shapes and the alphabet...

I have 2 handsome grandson's that are growing up so fast!
They make me smile when skies are grey, and laugh when I don't feel like laughing!
The sun is always brighter with these 2 sweet guys around!!

Last day...NOT my favorite thing~

Why is it that the "Last Day" of vacation always
comes WAY TOO FAST?!
We woke up early, packed up our belongings, hauled out the massive
amount of garbage we had (from all our favorite things that were wrapped...pizza boxes...etc...)
and headed off for Breakfast at "Angie's", a quaint little cafe on main street in Logan.
The food was OUTSTANDING! I would eat there again in a heartbeat, it was definitely more than we
could eat, but it was extremly tasty!

We drove up to the USU campus for some Aggie Icecream...supurb!
I had the "blue mint", which I crave ALL THE TIME NOW!
I wished there was a way to get it here....on a daily basis!
We enjoyed a little "relaxing" by these flowers as we savored our tasty treat.

After ice cream...it was time to say our goodbye's to Logan...it was a sad departure,
but I think we want to go back again next year, see a few more things and
play some more up there in the mountain air!
We headed to Salt Lake and ATE AGAIN...
the Cheesecake Factory was our last and final stop...and it was a winner for sure!

We were all tired, worn out, ready for a LONG nights sleep....
but we had a wonderful trip and can't wait to do it again next year!

Driving home, we got a breathtaking view of the LARGE MOON.
Pictures don't do it justice, but it was HUGE and beautiful!
A great way to end a fabulous trip!

Favorite Things PARTY...THE best!

On our "Favorite Things Trip" we had a BIG "Favorite Things Party"
OF COURSE, we all brought our favorite snacks....

And THEN...we each brought a gift for everyone, something that was our favorite
thing....Kim bought us all a new pair of SUNGLASSES! I love mine!!

I bought everyone BEACH bags and everything you needed for a fun day on the beach...
because the BEACH is one of my FAVORITE things!

We read letters that we had written to each other....all of our FAVORITE things about each other...
Played Games AND LAUGHED!!!
Favorite Things Party WAS A HIT!!....might even have to do it again next year!

MORE of MY FAVORITE things...OLD stuff!

Continuing our "Favorite Things Road Trip", we had a few "contests"
where prizes were awarded..
*Kim showing off her winnings!

We ventured on into a few antique stores...talk about "MY ELEMENT"...I love that old stuff!
Kim found her "favorite thing"...an OLD Giraffe statue.
Halle found her "favorite thing"...an OLD PHONE.
I found my "favorite thing"...some vintage roller skates! (just like the ones I learned to skate on)
Dayna found her "favorite thing"...an OLD scale....yes, it was coveted my ME!
I also found a doll EXACTLY like the one I had when I was 5 years old...I debated buying it,
ended up NOT getting it...and then I changed my mind the next day and WANTED
to buy it, went back to the store to get it and....SHE WAS GONE!! SAD DAY!

After our HOURS of playing in the antique stores, we went back to the hotel for
"nap time"....ha ha ha...this is how Halle and I napped (we didn't!)

Then we got ready for the play we were going to go to, "The Odd Couple"!

All dressed up and ready to go! It was a cute play and we all
had a super fun time together! I had never seen or heard anything about "The Odd Couple"...so I
didn't know what to expect from the play. It was a little slow in places, and had some humor
that only the "older generation" would get(I guess it was a TV series years ago...which I never watched), but overall, it was okay...I've seen better, but it was just fun to spend the time
with the girls...THAT WAS MY FAVORITE part of the entire night!!
