I was taking my daily walk hoping to get a few good pictures of our little town in the midst of Autumn. But as pretty as I think that Duchesne is in the Spring and Summer...it is ugly in the Fall. All of our leaves turn an ugly brown or yellow. There aren't really any pretty reds and oranges, just yellow and brown, all around us. After a great disappointment with my lack of colorful pictures, I continued on my walk toward the cemetery, up the Indian Canyon Highway. I was just nearing the top of the hill and saw what looked like ice

Our Drive~
Halle and I took a drive over to Evanston Wyoming on Friday with Deron, who had to do some things over there. I have only been to Evanston three times in my life, once when I was about 10-11, once on a drill team trip, and once with my dad and stepmom on our way to yellowstone. Needless to say its not a place I care to visit, its ugly and there is nothing to do there.

Here are a few if my favorite things...
Do you have a favorite smell? I get those fun emails once in awhile that have those fun questions on it that you answer and send to your friends and they answer and send them back. They give you insight into each others lives?! You know the ones that I am talking about. One of the questions is: "What is your favorite smell?" After pondering and really thinking about it, I thought to myself, "I have a lot of favorite smells and the reason they are favorite's is because they remind me of something good in my life or they make me happy." So here are a few of my favorite smells:

PS...one more pet peeve:
To think or not to think...that is the question
As many of you already know, I am a substitute teacher for the Duchesne School District. Its actually alot of fun and really brings on some "enlightening" moments. I have had days where I am ready to go home by 9:00 and call it a day. And other days, are just fine. There are some kids at the school, that I feel like maybe I have made a difference in their lives, and then there are others that put up a wall and won't let anyone help them in any way. I love the days that I can actually work with the kids and not just sit and babysit. Those are the days that I enjoy the most. But Hey...its money, so what am I complaining about, right?!!! But I certainly don't do it for the money! We don't make pennies at subbing. I could work at McDonalds and make more money in 1 hour than I can make at substitute teaching. Pretty pathetic, I know. Anyway...I am going to be subbing this entire week. And today, in one of my classes, the kids had to come up with 3 of their pet peeves. Some of them were really surprising, others made perfect sense and were mine as well. One boy said that his pet peeve was when people rubbed their hands across the carpet. The sound makes his teeth hurt. One girl said that she hated it when people weren't on time for things. So it made me start to think of some of mine own. For the most part, I consider myself tolerant of others and ignore things when there isn't any thing I can do to change the situation, but sometimes things just get under my skin. So I am going to make a lists of my pet peeves.
